01New digital tachographs (E＆S system)
We equip new digital tachographs for all our trucks. New digital tachographs have the new functions of E＆S (Eco and safety) index which are newly added functions such as "smooth drive", "prediction drive", and "less energy drive" from the conventional digital tachographs. Basically, the system can evaluate whether drivers maintain proper distance between other vehicles, and drive at a proper speed. This system is also useful to save fuel costs and accident prevention.
02 Drive Recorders
Drive recorders are installed in all our trucks and sales cars. Driver recorders are able to record indicators and brake work statuses, speed, and acceleration, not only showing images after accident occurrence. So we can use these images to analyze the facts and apply countermeasures when the actual accident happened for information sources for insurance processes. We can also use these Hiyari-hatto (almost accident status) images which were recorded for our daily educational training.
03Rear Monitors
For parking lot accident prevention while backing out, rear monitors are fully installed in all our trucks. They are automatically turned on to show drivers what is behind them when the truck engine is turned on. However, only being dependent on rear monitors may cause other accidents. So we continuously educate our drivers to confirm visually and direct by their eyes for basic driving.
04Collision prevention assist systems / Collision mitigation brake systems
These systems will be installed in all trucks in the future as a standard. However, we have already implemented alarm systems and collision mitigation brake systems in some of our trucks since 2010 as in the following image. Since then, we have been working hard to implement and test all our equipment on our trucks. There are 5 functions to recognize vehicles / drive lines / people and subsequently set off alarms.
